High above misty valleys and
foaming rivers ensconced in swirling clouds and perched a top mountains,
off the Bangalore-Mangalore highway in Karnataka, lies Kadamane estates
spreading across 6392 acres. It was once the hunting ground of the Earl of
Warwick.
The estate is situated at an
elevation of about 1000 metres above sea level. Kadamane has a high
rainfall period between June-September with annual rainfall recorded
between 7500-9500 mm that sometimes surpasses the records set by
Cherrapunji.
